Transforming art experiences for special education students
Transforming art experiences for special education students
At Beautiful Mind on Fire, our purpose is to celebrate the incredible artwork created by high school students enrolled in special education across Lubbock, Texas and surrounding areas. Every two months, our sister organization, B.M.O.F. Art Competitions, holds an art competition where these talented young artists have the opportunity to showcase their unique perspectives and creativity. Students can submit their original work, completed with minimal assistance from their teachers, paraprofessionals, art instructors, or parents (for homeschooled children). Upon public voting, the winning artwork will be showcased and printed on merchandise available through this website and during the event in Lubbock, Texas. Together we are a joint force who promotes Neurodiversity and Disability Awareness and Acceptance. Let us all celebrate the creativity and brilliance of these talented students!

In the face of this sorrow, she struggled with emotions that were bigger than she was and turned to self-infliction as a way to cope. Art became her positive outlet to process emotions. Supportin
